About us
History
Allocco started its industrial activity in 1960. In those years, they focused on equipment production, metallurgy services and parts machining for several industries.
In 1965, the first contacts were made with the oil companies in the region for supply of several types of parts and spare parts.
I n 1970, the first prototype press for obtaining sunflower oil was designed and manufactured, being this press the first piece of equipment developed entirely in Argentina. The press was installed in 1971 in Aceitera Santa Clara, a leading company in those years and nowadays a unit of Molinos Río de la Plata.
The results obtained were the cause for which, in 1975, Aceitera Santa Clara hired the manufacturing of a set of 5 presses and their complemental installations and this was the first work of significant extent done by the company.
Over the years and because of the constant growth of the oilseed industry, our solid presence in the region added to a strong sense of respect towards our clients and to the reliability of our solutions, have positioned us in the eye of major international suppliers for the sector, who have seen in Allocco a qualified partner for their operations throughout the region.
Consecutive milestones in our industrial background are the more than 1.500 equipments installed and the different turnkey supplies performed.
In 2006, we designed and manufactured equipment and installed a complete 16.000 ton/day capacity plant, one of the largest in the world.

More than 80% of the basic equipment of a crushing plant is of our own production and the peripheral equipment is made by our Desmet Ballestra expert strategic associates.

And when the plant is operative, we assure the provision of spare parts minimizing the critical times of maintenance.
All the equipments and processes have successfully completed the protocols of homologation corresponding to every Country and / or region of the world where they are exported: Mercosur, Economic European Community, Russian Federation, Ukraine, etc.

The global demand for crops, oils and meals of vegetable origin has increased constantly since the first years of the 80's Decade. And, since then global trade of oils and meals has tripled.
Grains and animal feeds show a smooth and gradual growth. On the other hand, oil and protein meal production and consumption grows vertiginously.
Nowadays, soybean is the most important oilseed crop at world-scale. Its production exceeds 220 million metric tons per year. The major producers are the United States of America, Brazil and Argentina, in this order.
In Argentina, crushing reaches a regional yield level which has not been exceeded by any other region in the world, turning this Argentine industry into the most efficient and modern oilseed production pole in the planet. And it is in this region where our roots can be found.
For our clients it is fundamental to count with integral suppliers, engineering and equipment, which can ensure the goal fulfillment in due time and form.
